HS4 systems are designed to work with thousands of products from hundreds of manufactures using most popular home automation technologies. Your HS4 system will continue to control your home 24/7, even when the internet is down or there's a web service outage. Our MyHS web service simplifies the process of controlling your home remotely but is not required to automate your home. This helps to prevent hackers and prying eyes from seeing your personal data and custom home automation schedules. Safe & SecureĮvery HS4 system is designed to store all your sensitive information right there at home, never in the cloud. You won't experience the "delays" that are common with Internet-reliant solutions like 'smart hubs' and 'gateways'. HS4 systems process all your automation locally, ensuring the highest level of reliability and performance. Reliable & Fast Locally Processed Automation This is particularly useful with installations that are not physically secure.

Or at least add these steps to the Quick Start Guide.I am also seeing the submit button not working under "change system password" option.HS4 is an advanced smart home automation software that's designed to work a wide range of smart home products and technologies. Maybe a startup wizard for the Pi version is needed here. Probably should add changing the time zone also is not covered anywhere and seems to be a necessary startup step. Or at least add these steps to the Quick Start Guide. Just confused by the OS user setup and lack of guidance here. The system itself seems to be running great which I was surprised on a Pi, so that is good.

The Change System Password option also does not address the users other than homeseer. I only stumbled on the items under the "Tools" menu as none of this is in the quick start guide and I can't seem to find any actual help files. Any reason first login to the system shouldn't force the user to change all these passwords? Seems like this needs to be changed.Even with the correct password nothing happens when you hit submit. First, it says the password is hsthsths3 and it should be hsthsths4. The "Change System Password" option under Tools doesn't seem to work.Am I expected to go change root with bash commands from the terminal and pi from raspi-config? It would be good if this is spelled out somewhere. However, in the web interface I only see an option for the web interface user (homeseer). I assume all 3 of these should be changed from default passwords for security purposes. Some initial comments / thoughts / questions: pi is the default user for Raspbian and looks like it has the default password as well. homeseer seems to be for using Linux Tools under the "Tools" menu. I assume I am given the root password if I want/need to go tinkering around with the OS. There are 3 users and I am not sure when / where I need to use them.

OK, I am doing a trial of the HS4-Pi and have some questions on users in the Linux OS.
